Grayson Hugh

When I was aksed about what obscure act or person came out of the year 1989, I said "Grayson Hugh" His song "Talk it over", was at 13 when it peaked. We havent heard from him since. What I like about this guy, is that he can actually sing. He has soul. His style of clothing, can be seen in Uncle Buck. No one I know of, actually remembers him. My music loving father heard of him, and lucklily has the single for talk it over.

Onehitwonderdom

Onehitwonderdom, is an interesting topic in the music biz. Often, artists look promising, then they completely fade. The 80s and early 90s were full of them.

Calloway

I want money, lots and lots of money. Thats what can be best remembered from this group. But what happened to these guys? The calloway brothers were part of Midnight Starr(Freakazoid.) Whats best about this group, is that no one seems to remember them. Probably because I was a tiny tot when they came out. But overall, a decent song.

My comment: A good memory trip.

Chris's Comments: A pathetic song by a pathetic group.

Ricky's comments: Not the worst thing in the world, but then again, when we do the worst of the worst from whatever year, this sometimes comes up.

Mikes Comments: I'll make sure these guys get blammed.

Mellow Man Ace

Sure, his older brother is more famous than he is, because he's part of Cypress hill; but he is well known for his one offering:

MENTIROSA

Mentirosa: a girl liar.

The theme: A cheating girl.

When you get in the mood and your girl is cheating on you, play this song, it will make you feel great. The song samples Change your evil ways, by santana. This was a semi popular song played in 1990. Soon after, he disappeared. This is what makes one hit wonderdom so cool to study.

My Comments: A great cheating song.

Chris's Comments: A perfect song for the right moment.

Ricky's Comments: Wonderful, probably the best cuban rap song ever.

Michael's Comments: Indeed, a wonderful example of one hit wonderdom. Add this cassette to your single collection.

A'me Lorain

We all remember her right? I'm talking to the older crowd here. A little info on A'me, is she had a hit in 1990, with Whole Wide World. I've heard this song, and All that I can say, is crap. Its a wonder she disappeared. She hasn't had anything new.

My Comments: A'me Lorain was a quick hitting female artist.

Chris's Comments: He doesn't like this refuting pile of a song.

Ricky's Comments: He likes it.

Mike's comments: No comment.

The verdict? Do not listen to this.
